Ang Lee Elected Best Director of US
Ang Lee who is a world famous director of the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was elected the best movie director of US by the US magazine Times.
The Times publishes on Monday a series of "Best of America" for the first time, granting Ang Lee the honor of best director due to his classic films like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Sense and Sensibility".
The Times shows that gentle and cultivated as Ang Lee is he has once again proved himself an artist of foreign artistic work and has enriched the US film circle. Ang Lee, a chameleon in the metropolis, can work successfully in adaptation to any culture and at the same time maintain an objective and farsighted clairvoyance.
Editors of the Times noted that the best director in their opinion must be a person outstanding in artistic technique, full of creativeness and a magnetic power, and Ang Lee is just that sort of a person among the present American directors.
The "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" directed by Ang Lee brought him the honor as best director of Global Award and four Oscar awards including the "Best Foreign Film".
