Macao, Estonia Provides Visa-Free Treatment for Each Other

China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the Republic of Estonia have decided to grant the visa-free treatment to the passport holders of each other, the Information Bureau of the SAR announced Sunday.

Estonia provides visa-free access for a period up to 90 days within six months for the Macao SAR passport holders. Nationals of Estonia will likewise enjoy 90 days' visa-free stay in Macao.

This will strengthen the exchanges in the fields of tourism, culture and business between the two places, local authorities said.

So far, 27 countries have given those who hold Macao passports the visa-free treatment. A total of 60,000 Macao residents, out of a population of roughly 440,000, have Macao SAR passports.
