China to Issue Stamp Marking 80th Party Anniversary
The China Post announced in Beijing Saturday that it will issue one stamp Sunday to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which falls on July 1.
The stamp, mainly featuring the red flag of CPC, embodies that the CPC is the banner guiding the Chinese people from one victory to another.
Leaders from the National People's Congress, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and other Party and government institutions were present at the issuance ceremony.
The China National Philatelic Corporation will issue a commemorative envelope on July 1, with president Jiang Zemin's inscription --"80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China."
