Top Advisory Body Ends Meeting in Beijing

The Standing Committee of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) ended its 14th meeting in Beijing Friday afternoon.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the top advisory body, presided over the final sitting of the four-day meeting and delivered an important speech.

Li said that it is a crucial task for CPPCC members to understand the comprehensive social conditions and popular sentiments.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) represents the fundamental interests of the Chinese people and CPPCC has the responsibility to help the leadership know the real situation of society and the people, said Li.

Chen Junsheng, vice chairman of CPPCC National Committee, made a speech, requiring efficient implementation of the decision achieved during the meeting. Various groups of CPPCC submitted reports to the meeting.
