Booming Business in Sino-Russian Trade Zone

As of the end of May, a Sino- Russian Trade Zone, located in Suifenhe City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, had reported a total trade volume of 300 million U.S. dollars since it became operational in 1999.

Statistics show that in the first five months, the trade volume in the zone was more than 90 million U.S. dollars.

Advantageous geographical location and a sound investment environment have attracted 22 business people from many countries and regions including Russia, the Republic of Korea, the United States and Hong Kong, to open shops and build factories in the zone.

All the businesses run by the 22 overseas investors are profitable, zone sources said.

Nearly 1,000 Russian businessmen and 25,000 domestic business people visit the zone daily.
