Chinese Embassy in Philippines Going all out to Rescue Chinese Hostages

Zhang Zhongqiang, manager of the China Electric Power Technology Imp. & Exp. Corp. (ETIC) in Philippines was kidnapped by four unknown gunmen in a town at about 16:00 on June 20 and up to now nobody knows his whereabouts.

Sources from Ministry of Foreign Affairs say that the Chinese government pays close attention to Zhang's safety. Wang Chungui, Chinese ambassador to the Philippines met urgently vice Minister of the Philippine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and asked the Philippines to adopt effective measures and pay attention to this kidnapping.

Meanwhile, the Chinese embassy in the Philippines also asked ETIC to send delegates to the actual spot for making investigation and try by means and ways to manage a rescue.
