Musharraf Meets Kashmiri Leaders, Assures Complete Solidarity

Pakistani President and Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf reiterated on Thursday that Pakistan and Kashmir are one as far as the struggle for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people was concerned.

During a meeting here with Kashmiri leaders, Musharraf said, " the Kashmiri people should never feel that they are alone," for a lot of awareness now exists at global level for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

He emphasized that whatever the process for settling the Kashmir dispute, which poses as the core issue between India and Pakistan, the Kashmiri leadership will be definitely involved in it because the issue cannot be solved without their participation.

The Kashmiri leaders expressed complete confidence in President Musharraf, saying that the Kashmiris are convinced that he will plead their cause in the forthcoming summit with India most effectively because Pakistan has always acted as their advocate in the past.
