Guangdong Beat Myanmar 2-0 in Women's Soccer Friendly

China's Guangdong women's team defeated the Myanmar national side 2-0 Wednesday night in their third friendly soccer match at the Sports Ground in Bago, 80 kilometers in the north of Yangon.

After the goalless first half, the visitors, with an average age of 22, opened the scoring through Fang Xiaoyan's header in the 51st minute and He Xingxue fired home the ball dropping from the Myanmar goalkeeper Wah Wah Moe's hand two minutes before the end.

The Myanmar team, with an average age of 20, could not even make a consolation goal throughout the game.

The Guangdong team beat the host side 2-1 and 1-0 in their first two encounters at the Youth Training Center here last Saturday and Monday.

A 25-member Guangdong team, comprising 18 players, arrived here last Friday to play the Myanmar team which has been preparing for the XXI Southeast Asian Games.
