He expressed gratitude for the support of the Guinean government on the Taiwan issue and in dealing with international affairs. Hu noted that China values the Sino-Guinea traditional friendship and has attached importance to developing friendly relations with all African nations including Guinea. China is ready to work with Guinea to promote bilateral ties of mutual trust and all-round cooperation. Solano spoke highly of the friendly relations between the two states and armed forces, and thanked China for support and aid toward Guinea since the national independent movement was initiated in Africa.
