SW China Airlines to Recruit Tibetan Pilots

Southwest China Airlines will recruit the first batch of 15 or 20 Tibetan pilots from recent Tibetan college graduates in Tibet Autonomous Region and Beijing, Chengdu, Lanzhou and Xianyang cities.

Nearly 100 Tibetan college students handed in their applications today at the Potala Palace in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

When recruited, they will study at the China Civil Aviation Institute for two years and be awarded with a diploma upon graduation.

The airlines took in 15 Tibetan flight attendants last year.
