Zambia, Angola, Namibia Condemn Angolan Rebels

The presidents of Zambia, Angola and Namibia Tuesday afternoon condemned the rebel National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) for its failure to implement the 1994 Lusaka Protocol.

In a communique released after a mini-summit among the three countries, the three presidents expressed their support for the resolution of the United Nations Security Council on sanctions against the UNITA rebels led by Jonas Savimbi.
