Osama Aide Refutes Media Report about Planned Attacks on US, Israeli Targets

An aide of Afghanistan-based Arab millionaire Osama bin Laden on Monday contradicted a report of the Dubai-based MBC Arabic TV that Osama planned some attacks on US and Israeli targets.

Sheikh Abu Hafs was quoted by Afghan Bakhtar news agency as saying that this assertion of MBC TV was completely baseless and far from reality. "In fact we had no interview with MBC TV representative," he added.

Sheikh claimed that they had only met with Mr. Backer, representative of MBC TV but rejected interviewing with him.

"Some pressmen, for gaining some specific goals, resort to such unreal claims," he added.
