Hu Jingtao Visits Exhibition on State's Aid to Tibet
Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao visited an exhibition showcasing the nationwide support to Tibet for its modernization drive Monday evening.

Hu, who had personally worked in Tibet, was briefed on the great changes that happened in Tibet, especially the over 100 key projects built with aid from other Chinese regions.

Hu showed keen interest in a website on the Internet introducing Tibet's history and culture in both Chinese and English.

He also viewed a folk dance performance by Tibetan artists and later took a picture with the performers.

Hu was accompanied on his visit by Wang Zhaoguo, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and officials from Tibet.

The exhibition opened in Beijing on Sunday.
