A museum displaying the ancient culture of Fujian Province in east China was officially inaugurated Sunday in Tanshishan Village, in Minhou County.
The museum was built over the archaeological excavation site of "Tanshishan Culture," where a rich collection of relics dating back to between 4,000 and 5,000 years ago have been unearthed since its discovery in 1954.
"Tanshishan Culture" reflects the civilization of ancient Fujian residents, the origin of the modern culture of Fujian and Taiwan as well, according to experts.
