Jiang congratulated their emotional performance Saturday night, commending it a showcase of combining the cream of western opera and the charm of Chinese ancient and modern civilization.

He said the concert played a positive role in presenting the image of China's reform and opening-up and of the hardworking and united Chinese people, as well as the Olympic spirit as the concert was held on the International Olympic Day.

The three artists all said that they felt honored to participate in such a cultural event. They also extended gratitude to the hospitality they received during their stay in China and highly valued the splendid Chinese civilization.
