Israel
i Premier Ariel Sharon, who is due to stop over in London en route to Washington for talks with

President George W. Bush.
A Downing Street spokesman said there was no time limit for the "guidance" meeting but he estimated the talks would last about an hour. He refused to add any more details of the meeting.
Britain has maintained a close relationship with Israel in the last few years. Several Israeli leaders held talks with Blair on their way to or back from the US for the Middle East summit or peace talks. Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat also visited London several times for talks with Blair.
