Zhu Rongji Meets Veteran CPC Members of Central Departments
Premier Zhu Rongji, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met here Friday with veteran CPC members and model Party workers of the central departments of the Party and government.
On behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, Zhu paid respect and expressed gratitude to the veterans for their contributions to the Chinese revolution and construction, and congratulated the model Party workers on their achievements in the Party work.
Zhu briefed those present on the economic situation in the country and wished the veterans good health and a long life.
The meeting took place prior to the opening of a conference held by the central departments to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the CPC that falls on July 1.
State Councilor and State Council Secretary-General Wang Zhongyu joined Zhu in the meeting and addressed the meeting to mark the founding of the CPC.
