Motorola Opens 1st Store in 'Roof of World'

Motorola has recently opened its first store in the ancient city of Lhasa at an elevation of 3,700 meters, which is called "First Store in the Roof of the World" by local people.

A senior official of Motorola (China) explained that his company's success in China was due to its close concern about customers' demands and constant adjustments made accordingly. "We never ignore customers' demand, however least it is," he said.

Relevant statistics show that currently, there are over 100,000 mobile phone switchboards and 72,000 cellphone users in Tibet. Like any other inland provinces and autonomous regions, fashionable and multi-functional Motorola mobile phones are also favored by the local young people.

Thanks to its marketing concept of meeting the least requirement of customers, Motorola has achieved a huge market share in the world as it's global sale volume reportedly amounted to US$37.6 billion last year.
