Mahathir Meets With CPC Representative
President of the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO) Mahathir Mohammad met with Wang Taihua, representative of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at UMNO headquarters Thursday in Kuala Lumpur.
On the occasion, Mahathir expressed thanks to CPC for sending the representative and congratulation letter to the UMNO 55th General Assembly, which began Thursday.
The friendly exchanges between UMNO and CPC have consolidated and promoted good relations between the two countries, Mahathir said, adding that the two sides should further enhance cooperation in various fields.
Wang and his party arrived here Wednesday for the UMNO General Assembly.
