Beijing Opera Performances in Memory of CPC's AnniversaryThree Beijing Opera dramas will be staged in Beijing at the Chang'an Theater on July 1 to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).The dramas, to be performed by famous artists from the China Beijing Opera Troupe, will respectively feature a revolutionary martyr, an honest official in ancient China and teachers contributing to rural education in western China. Wu Jiang, director of the troupe, said at a press conference Wednesday that the dramas were transcribed from homonymic works in the style of local operas in southwest and north China. |
