China to Open Domestic Express Package Service

The State Postal Bureau is to offer Domestic Express Package Service (DEPS) from August 1 and prior to this, it has also promised to speed up the Express Mail Service starting from July 1.

Insiders of the SPB say that the DEPS will be helpful to solve the problem of logistics, especially to industrial and commercial enterprises, e-commerce companies, postal companies, etc.

DEPS will be delivered through highway and railway. A transportation network depending on these two is as believed to be formed very soon. By then, the interurban delivery of EPS in China will be shortened to four to six days and household delivery is twice every day.

The charging standard will differ in regions similar to the normal package service. And one percent of each package price will be charged as insurance premium if a client wants to with each package nevertheless valued at the maximum of 100 thousand yuan.
