The fourth symposium on the litigation systems in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong will be held at Fudan University in Shanghai on June 22 and 23.
Jointly organized by the Department of Justice and Fudan University, the symposium will comprise a mock trial presentation to be staged by members of the Hong Kong legal profession, a panel discussion and visits to the local court and prosecution authority.
The Hong Kong delegation, led by Stephen Wong, deputy solicitor general, include representatives of the Securities and Futures Commission, the Legal Education Trust Fund, the Hong Kong Society of Experts and the Customs and Excise Department.
The first and the second symposiums on the litigation systems in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong were held in Beijing and Guangzhou in 1999 and 2000, respectively, while the third one was held in Shenzhen last month.
