Chinese Chongqing Export Commodities Exhibition Opens in Vietnam
2001 Chinese Chongqing Export Commodities Exhibition opened at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Center in Hanoi on Tuesday.
More than 50 major enterprises in Chongqing city have brought their products to display at the Exhibition which is co-sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Chongqing Sub-Council, and Vietnam Trade Fair and Advertising National Company.
Products of the electric, chemical, construction material, food, garment and textile industries are being displayed in 130 pavilions.
In the opening speech, Vice Mayor of Chongqing city Chen Jiwa expressed her hope that Vietnamese people will further understand the products made in Chongqing, thus promoting the economic-commercial cooperation between Chinese Chongqing and Vietnam.
Last year, two-way trade turnover between Chongqing and Vietnam reached 277 million US dollars while that between the two countries was 2.46 billion US dollars.
Chongqing also poured investment capital of 2.24 million US dollars into Vietnam's electric, chemical and construction material industries, as well as the country's trade organizations.
