Community Concert to Mark HKSAR Anniversary

Free tickets to the Community Concert celebrating the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on July 1 will be distributed to the public, according to the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) Tuesday.

The basis of first-come-first-served will be adopted for ticket distribution that will start from June 21.

Academy Award winner, Tan Dun; international pop singer, CoCo Lee; and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in the concert.

The concert will feature the Crouching Tiger Concerto -- a concert work based on the original score for the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and the Water Percussion Concerto.

The concert will be broadcast live and there will also be a delayed telecast, according to HAB.

Apart from the concert, a flag raising ceremony will be held at the Bauhinia Square outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center at 8:00 in the morning on July 1 to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the HKSAR.
