Quake Emergency Technology System Established
China's first earthquake emergency technology system was established recently in east China's
Shandong
Province.
The comprehensive system includes earthquake monitoring and forecasting and quick estimations of quakes.
Experts said that the system will help lessen the harm caused by earthquake.
The system, which has cost over 10 million yuan (approximately 1.2 million US dollars and taken five years to develop, is the first of its kind at provincial level in China.
