South Korean Prime Minister Visits Mongolia

Mongolian Prime Minister Nambaryn Enkhbayar met his visiting Korean counterpart Lee Han- Dong at the State Palace on Monday afternoon.

During the meeting, Enkhbayar said South Korea has become one of Mongolia's most important partners and both countries will build a complementary partnership in the 21st century.

He also expressed his gratitude to the South Korean government for its economic aid to the country and active participation in the meetings between Mongolia and donor countries.

Lee Han-Dong extended warm congratulations to the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party for its victory in the elections of the State's Great Hural, which is the country's parliament, and the presidential election.

He also praised the Mongolian government for its success in maintaining stability in the country.

Lee highlighted the broadening cooperation between the two countries' middle and small companies and the increasing investment in Mongolia's communication sections by South Korean enterprises.

He said the South Korean government will provide free aid of one million U.S. dollars to Mongolia for 3 years to help its development of communication technologies.

Lee also met with Mongolian President Nachagyn Bagabandy and the State's Great Hural Chairman Lhamsurengyn Enebish.

The South Korean prime minister arrived here on Monday morning and will make a two-day official visit before leaving for China on Tuesday.
