Zhejiang Province to Accelerate Development of Tourism Industry

Province will make great efforts to build itself into a province rich in tourism resources, said governor Cai Songyue Monday.
During the 1996-2000 period, Zhejiang received 1.13 million overseas tourists and 514 million U.S. dollars of tourism income.
Zhejiang now has 11 state-level and 42 provincial-level scenic zones.
Cai said that his province will accelerate development of new scenic zones, as well as protect the current zones.
