China Beats US 1:0 at World Youth Championships
China Youth Football Team defeated US Youth by 1:0 in Mendoza, Argentina on June 18.
China organized an impressive hit at the 50th minute. Qu Bo got a wonderful pass from his team member Wang Sheng and broke into the penalty area and with a nimble shot the ball went through the legs of the US goalkeeper and made a goal for China.
Shooting statistics show that China Youth got the upper hand during the game. They made seven straight shots and two deviating shots and got five straight free kicks. However, the US Youth only made three straight shots while six deviating shots. A drop shot by Chinese player Xu Liang at the 4th minute and a counter-attack by Gao Ming in a move at the 37th minute won loud hails from the spectators.
The Chinese team has merely brought 60-70 percent of their best performances into play, said Shen Xiangfu, head coach of China when the games was over.
