Top Coal Producer Signs Multi-Billion Dollar Contracts With Foreign FirmsThe Yankuang Group, one of the largest coal producers in China, signed last week a contract for a coal, power and aluminum integrated project with Moreluck High- tech Development Co. of Canada, with an investment of 370 million US dollars.The contract is the largest contract signed at the Second APEC Investment Mart which closed on June 15 in Yantai, a coastal city in Shandong. The Chinese company also signed three other agreements with foreign companies worth 650 million US dollars, 159 million US dollars and 108 million US dollars, respectively. The Yankuang Group, which is located in Zouxian, Shandong Province, is one of the most successful reformers in the country's coal industry. |
