Canadian Environmental Mission Visits HKA Canadian environmental mission gave presentations on environmental technology Monday in Hong Kong, hoping to find appropriate partners in Hong Kong in the field.The mission is comprised of 10 representatives of environmental companies specializing in the areas of solid waste management, waste water technology, air monitoring, renewable energy and laboratory services. "The mission is aimed to showcase Canada's technology and expertise in environmental protection," said Don Fast, head of the mission. Canada and Hong Kong signed an Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Collaboration in 1992. This MOU was renewed in 1998 with an expanded scope including sustainable development, pollution prevention, integrated pollution control, environmental management systems, economic instruments, and protected areas and wildlife conservation.
