Vice-Premier Li Lanqing Meets Zimbabwe Cultural Delegation

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing said Monday that China will develop long-term stable and full- range cooperative relations with Zimbabwe and other African countries in the 21st century.

Li said during a meeting with Samuel Mumbengegwi, minister of education, sports and culture of Zimbabwe, that China will develop its relations with Africa on the principles of "sincere friendship, treating each other equally, unity and cooperation, common development and future-orientation."

Mumbengegwi described the relations between Zimbabwe and China as "all-weather." He said Zimbabwe supports China's reunification as well as Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games.
