Science Park Set Up in Northeast China to Draw Returned Students from Overseas

A science park aimed at attracting students returning from overseas was set up Friday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.

A building for the returning entrepreneurs, with a total construction area of 4,200 square meters, was put up in the science park. About 60 enterprises sponsored by students who have returned home from studying overseas have entered the science park and another 80 enterprises are expected to be established there.

With the support of the Ministry of Personnel and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the science park was built with various advanced facilities. Enterprises in the park may enjoy a series of preferential policies offered by the government of Shenyang.

The establishment of the park set an example for other regions of China to attract outstanding overseas students, said Zhang Xuezhong, minister of personnel, adding that the ministry will give more support to high-tech enterprises and entrepreneurs who have returned China to work in the park.
