State Councilor Meets Arab Guests
Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi met Friday with Adnan Kassar, president of the Arab council of the China-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce, and his party.
The Arab guests participated in the fourth meeting of the council of the chamber held in China's coastal city of Dalian June 11-12.
Wu expressed appreciation for the contribution of Kassar to promoting economic and trade contact between China and the Arab countries. She noted that Sino-Arab economic and trade cooperation has developed rapidly with an increasing bilateral trade volume.
Wu voiced her hope to further bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and investment.
She noted that as a non-governmental organization promoting Sino-Arab economic and trade cooperation, the China-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce shall continue to boost the relations of the two sides in economic and trade areas.
Kassar spoke highly of China's achievements in reform and economic development, saying that the Arab-China Joint Chamber of Commerce will make all-out efforts to improve the economic and trade relations between China and the Arab countries.
