Retired Officials Sing Their Love of CPC

Some 3,100 retired officials from institutions under the central authorities expressed their love for the Communist Party of China (CPC) in songs during a concert Friday evening.

Premier Zhu Rongji, Vice-Premier Li Lanqing and some other ranking officials enjoyed the performance, part of the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.

Among the chorus were a number of veterans, who took part in the Long March of the Red Army, the war of resistance against Japanese aggression, or the war of liberation.
