National Library Displays Documentation to Commemorate Party's Birthday

An exhibition of documentation on the history of Communist Party of China is now on show at the National Library of China to celebrate the Party's 80th anniversary, which falls on July 1.

The six-part exhibition includes the Party's founding, expanding and the revolution they led before 1949 when New China was founded. Emphasis is on the development of Party culture.

Most of the 200 items particularly selected by the library are open to the public for the first time. They are invaluable according to Party history experts.

Some of the items are initial issues of the Party journals at that time and the Autobiography of Mao Zedong published in December of 1937.

The exhibition will last till July 5.
