2nd World Table Tennis Club Tournament Kicked off
The 2nd World Table Tennis Club Tournament jointly cosponsored by International Table Tennis Federation and China Table Tennis Association opened in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province June 14. The first one was also held in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province in China.
Teams of eight clubs took part in this event. They are Liutong of Hebei Province, Shanhe of Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province of China, and the others came from Egypt, Hungary, Austria, US-Canada, ROK and Malaysia.
The biggest competition centered on Shanhe with world champions like Li Ju, Yang Ying and Zhang Yingying, Liutong, the title of 2001 China Table Tennis Super League Match and the ROK.
The semi-final and final of this three-day event go to June 15-16.
