A seminar on intellectual property protection, sponsored by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), was held Thursday in Shanghai.
Experts from 22 countries including China, India, Australia and South Africa, attended the seminar, which has three key topics: intellectual property -- a useful tool to promote social and economic development; importance of law enforcement in intellectual property protection; and challenges and opportunities facing developing countries.
Discussions about the latest developments in intellectual property protection in China and other issues were also held.
