Twenty-one diplomats from Latin American and Caribbean countries, arrived here Thursday, beginning a four-day study tour in southwest China's Guizhou Province.
The diplomats, who are attending a special training program in the Beijing-based Foreign Affairs College, received a warm welcome by the local government. Zhang Peiliang, assistant to provincial governor, briefed them on the economic and social development of the province, infrastructure construction and investment environment in particular.
Zhang hoped that their visit would deepen the friendship between China and the Latin American countries.
During their stay in the province, they are scheduled to visit Guiyang, the capital city of the province, Bouyei-Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southwest Guizhou and Anxun City.
