Earthquake Jolts Taiwan
An earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, jolted the sea area to the east of
Taiwan
's Suao at 10:35 Thursday (
Beijing
time).
According to the China Seismological Bureau, the epicenter was located at 24.4 degrees north latitude and 122.1 degrees east longitude.
