Second China Changchun International Auto Fair Scheduled

The second China Changchun International Auto Fair will be held August 24-29, fair organizers announced.

Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province and the location for the fair, is popularly known as the cradle of new China's auto industry and is home to the First Automobile Works Group.

The fair will be jointly sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Jilin Provincial People' s Government and Changchun City Government.

During the fair, a range of activities will be organized, including a forum on Chinese cities and strategic market for auto development in information age.

Mayors of more than 20 Chinese cities, corporate executives of over 50 automobile manufacturers, officials from relevant Chinese central government departments, as well as auto experts and urban construction specialists will be invited to discuss sustainable development in cities at the forum, said the organizers.

Major foreign auto makers, including Toyota, General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Benz and Volvo automobiles have decided to attend the forum.
