Taipei Mayor Makes 100th Blood Donation

Taipei Mayor Ma Ying-jeou made his 100th blood donation Tuesday, urging the public to roll up their sleeves to respond to blood donation enthusiastically, according to reports from Taipei.

Ma, who referred to himself as a "blood horse," made his 100th blood donation at noon at the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei Rapid Transit System.

As of the end of December last year, there were 5,030 people in the Taiwan area who had made more than 100 blood donations. Of them, 907 are Taipei citizens, according to statistics released by the Taipei Blood Donation Center.

The center sent Ma a photo album showing the mayor's past donations.
