"Ancestral House" Won Silver Screen in Chicago

The "Ancestors' House", a documentary directed by Sun Zengtian and Xu Dan, produced jointly by CCTV and Fujian TV Studion, was honored the second of "Silver Screen" at the awards presentations of the 34th US International Film & Video Festival held in Chicago, June 8.

The gala received a total of 1500 cinematic works from 33 countries around the world.

The "Ancestors' House" is a documentary of the Huangs living in an old house in Fujian Province. Over the past 200 years, they have all along led a simple pastoral life, thriving on the Chinese virtue and tradition. The award of this documentary fully demonstrate the enchantment of Chinese traditional culture-kindheartedness, harmony between man and nature and among human beings themselves-the spirit of humanism is still valuable today.
