Pilot Dies as Two Russian Training Planes Collide

n combat training airplanes collided and crashed during a show flight at the Levashovo airfield in the vicinity of St. Petersburg at 1723 Moscow time (1323 GMT) on Sunday.
According to latest information from the Emergency Situations Ministry press service, the two
Czech
-made L-39 planes collided shortly after taking off.
Both of the jets fell into a nearby forest and the pilots were ejected by catapults.
The rescuers found one of them almost immediately after the accident, who was alive and outside danger. The other pilot unfortunately died and his body was found three hours after the collision.
Earlier reports spoke of the survival of both pilots.
