Olympic Champion Reaps Two Gold at Chinese National Championships

Olympic parallel champion Li Xiaopeng of Hunan reaped two golds at the Chinese National Gymnastics Championships concluded Saturday in Wuhan.

Li, who beat Russian legend Nemov to claim the parallel bars title at the Sydney Olympics, put floor and vaulting horse crowns under his belt at Wuhan's Hong Shan Gymnasium, Hubei Province.

The other gymnast scoring two victories on Saturday was Dong Fangxiao from Hebei, who succeeded in the women's floor and vaulting horse.

Huang Xu of Jiangsu and Xing Aowei from Shandong, members of the Chinese team which took their first ever Olympic gymnastics men's team title at Sydney, won the men's parallel bars and horizontal bar respectively and the men's rings title went to Olympic champion Dong Zhen of Tianjin.
