Hong Kong Watches Pavarotti Under Stars

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announces Saturday that by arrangement with Tibor Rudas, it will present a live broadcast relay of the concert of " Pavarotti in Hong Kong" on June 16.

A spokesman from the department said Luciano Pavarotti rarely permits a live relay of his concert outside the concert hall. However an exception is made as he feels that it might make a suitable celebration of the fourth anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region - albeit two weeks early.

The live relay broadcast is organized with an aim of bringing the exceptional concert of a celebrated international artist to people of Hong Kong and further enhancing people's interests in culture and arts, the spokesman said.
