Chinese Team Arrives in Argentina for World Youth Soccer
Chinese team arrived in Buenos Aires on Saturday for the World Youth Soccer Championships which will be held from June 17 to July 18.
The Chinese team, led by coach Shen Xiangfu, will be playing in Group C along with the United States, Ukraine and Chile in Mendoza in western Argentina.
The Chinese team left from the United States, in which they they stayed for one week and defeated a university team 5-1 in a friendly game in San Francisco.
Sheng Xiangfu refused to say how far the Chinese team could go at the championships, adding that the squads in Group C are at the same level and have equal opportunities to advance to the quarter- finals.
The Chinese team will begin training Sunday.
