Mexican President Visits Xi'anVisiting Mexican President Vincente Fox Quesada received warm welcome Friday in Xi'an by Cheng Andong, governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.Cheng briefed Fox on the economic development in the province and the development strategy of west China. Fox expressed his appreciation for the long-existing Chinese culture, saying that he will copy some development models of China for his country's use. After his arrival here Friday morning, Fox toured some historic sites in the province. Fox is visiting China as guest of Chinese President Jiang Zemin. His next leg is Shanghai, an economic and financial center in east China. |
