APEC Young Leaders, Entrepreneurs Forum to Be Jointly Held by China & Canada

China and Canada will jointly host an APEC Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Forum in Beijing and Shanghai in July.

This was announced Thursday by China's Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Guangya, and Patrick O'Brien, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry for International Trade of Canada in Shanghai.

The forum, to be jointly organized by the All-China Youth Federation and the Canadian Institute for Leadership Development, will bring together over 200 young leaders and entrepreneurs from all APEC member economies.

The forum is expected to develop new relationships among leading young entrepreneurs and professionals from APEC member economies, discuss future APEC cooperation to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and development of human resources for the new economy, share personal experiences in business and technology, and promote information and communications technologies.

The forum, scheduled to be opened in Beijing on July 10, will focus on two main themes: information and communication technologies in business, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Most of the sessions of the forum will be held in Shanghai during July 11-13.
