Three Boxing Kings to Compete for Title in Beijing
Four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, International Boxing Federation (IBF) and WBC champion Hasim Rahman, and WBA King John Ruiz are scheduled to arrive in Beijing in early July to prepare for the world heavyweight decisive battle for the title here on August 5.
The news was released by the Great Wall International Sports Media Co. Ltd., organizer of the said bout at a press conference.
Sources say that Holyfield and Ruiz are to be here in around July 5 and Rahman probably on July 1. By then, the reception work for the event will be in full swing, approximately 300 people including officials with world boxing organization, boxers, promoters, brokers, etc. will come to Beijing for investigation and work.
