Charge Disputes Covered Half Telecom Complaints in First Quarter

Statistics from the Complaint Center for telecom users under the Ministry of Information Industry say in the first quarter this year over half disputes have something to do with the telecom charge.

According to the report, among the 146 complaint-cases put on record, 76 are related to telecom charges, taking up 52 percent of the total.

The next is service quality, with 49 cases involved, covering 23.6 percent, and another 12 cases, or 8 percent, are related to transmission quality.

In regard to the telecom operators being complained, 81 went to China Telecom, 35 were against China Mobile and 13 for China Unicom (11 for mobile service and 2 for paging).

The complaint percentage of user number is almost the same with these operators. For by the end of last March the user number of China Telecom had reached 150m, while the figure stood at 75.81m and 71.62m (24.50m for mobile and 46.12m for paging) for China Mobile and China Unicom respectively.
